I was wondering if I could speak to the doctors who work at the clinics here or anyone who has had medical practice. I’ve been studying medical treatment myself and I thought it would be a good idea to become acquainted with everyone.

[He knows it’s been a while since he last spoke to Adele about this but it’s better late than never, right? The mouse cheeps again] I know, I know, just a minute… Oh! Also, there was one particular doctor that was recommended I speak with about something… Doctor Law, I believe his name was. So it’s important I talk to him too, if at all possible.

Later in the day, Sion will be out in the village, mainly in the clinic and library. He won’t stay long in the main clinic, but just to take a look at the main schedule Adele once told him about.

After that, he’ll head to the library. If you spot him there, you’ll be able to notice that he has three mice on his person, quite literally. They aren’t real mice, but they definitely appear to be real. There’s a white one, which sits atop his head, a black one which is on his shoulder and a brown one which is on his opposite shoulder. It seems odd but this is totally normal for him. He’s picking out a bedtime story for them, you see. Still totally normal for him. They like it a lot when he reads plays to them okay.]

It's very nice to meet you, Doctor Mizuno. My name is Sion. [For a moment, he tries to think back to the names of the doctors Adele told him of but he can't remember if she was one of them. OH WELL. He's still happy to meet her.] How long have you been a doctor, Miss Mizuno?

I've served as a doctor here in Luceti for nearly two years. Back home, I was new to the profession after completing medical school.

So you already have quite a bit under your belt. What kind of experiences have you had in the medical field itself? Here and back in your own world.

I consider myself still learning, but I was practicing as a surgeon. Here, I've encountered things that would never have been seen in my world. It's making me learn new things all the time.

What kind of things have you encountered here? If I may ask. [If her world is at all similar to his, he's curious]

Magic. Supernatural things. Those things are said not to exist where I'm from. Stories of it are very unusual.

Ah, I understand. Magic and things of that nature don't exist in my world either. It's not really spoken of either. [He's a deprived child. Strange things exist in his world but not magic. Have you been able to learn the healing magic that's native to Luceti in your time here?

I'm still learning, but I've made it a point since I arrived. If I'm going to help the people here, I need to learn every technique and form of healing available to me.

Your desire to help people is refreshing. [Refreshing because back in the West Block, the thought process is never like that]

Has it been difficult to learn how to use the healing magic so far? Ever since I arrived here I've stuck to books and not really made any attempt to try magic. [Mainly because the idea still seems strange to him]

I might have done the same back home. [Until the day she learned about a life she lived before this one.] Here, I wanted to try. I wanted to see if it could really be done. If I could really learn something like that. Nala is kind, and it wasn't very difficult - though it's taken a long time to learn to heal well.

It still amazes me that it can be done. [But Sion's come to learn and accept, even back home, that even the most fictional and unimaginable things can be real]

Nala is the one you learned from, correct? How do you speak to her? [He's heard a little bit about the elemental spirits in Luceti]

Like when using meditation? [Not that Sion's ever tried it but he's read about it and heard about it before]

Something like that. Many people use that as a starting point to contact Luceti's spirits.

I suppose I should try it too, if I'm going to learn how to use the healing magic myself. [Hmmm]

What's the best way to meditate, in your opinion? I can't say I've ever tried it or given the idea much thought before...

You should start by finding somewhere you can really relax and clear your mind. Somewhere without distractions.

[So basically a place away from Nezumi and his beautiful eyes. Okay.]
